Droxford Junior School

   Our School

Droxford Junior School can be found in the picturesque Meon Valley village of Droxford. The school is in a beautiful position at the foot of the downs with recreation grounds, meadows, woodland and the River Meon all nearby.

The National Society first started the school in 1835 for the education of the poor. The present school was built in 1929 and has been improved as the school has grown. We now have six classrooms, a library, an ICT suite and a wonderful new hall.

Droxford Junior is a good school with many outstanding features.  The school as a strong "village" ethos whilst offering a cutting edge curriculum for learning.

Achievements in 2008/09 have been "outstanding"; we are continually building on our successes.  If you would like to join our school community, please contact us.

We have places in year groups 5 & 6, so please phone for an appointment to meet the Headteacher and see the school in action.

The children come from Droxford itself and the villages of Corhampton, Exton, Meonstoke, North Boarhunt, Newtown and Soberton.  We also have many children from outside our catchment.

The school grounds have plenty of space for play, sport and other outdoor activities.
