Our School
Droxford Junior School can be found in the picturesque Meon Valley village of Droxford. The school is in a beautiful position at the foot of the downs with recreation grounds, meadows, woodland and the River Meon all nearby.
The National Society first started the school in 1835 for the education of the poor. The present school was built in 1929 and has been improved as the school has grown. We now have six classrooms, a library, an ICT suite and a wonderful new hall. |
The school has grown from 59 to 168 pupils since 1995. We do have places in our current years 3 and 4 and also our new intake September 2008, so please phone for an appointment and come along and visit us with your children; we would love to see you. The children come from Droxford itself and the villages of Corhampton, Exton, Meonstoke, North Boarhunt, Newtown and Soberton and we do welcome applications from outside of our catchment.
The school grounds have plenty of space for play, sport and
other outdoor activities.
There is a playground area that has been marked out for learning and play. There is also an adventure playground, which was bought by the parent' association FODS.
